Chinese Learning can be as natural as mother tongue

“Chinese Family Natural Language Learning Method” is to construct and simulate the process of mother tongue learning with many real Chinese language frames basic on the detailed research and analysis on mother tongue learning. You can recollect the scene of language learning in childhood. When we see others drink and want to drink, we learn to speak the word “water” by listening and simulation without our awareness or understanding the meaning of “water”. This language learning ability is inborn. Without others forcing us to memorize words, when our body has demand, we form interest and actively learn to speak and think by listening.

In fact, this is what we call language environment. But, the biggest difference between language environment and mother tongue environment is that mother tongue environment is a systemic learning process from surface to depth while common language environment is man-made. “Chinese Family Natural Language Learning Method” is designed to abide by this natural habit of human language learning and offers 58 specially-designed different Chinese language scenes of three levels for western learners. You can make your own learning plan, reasonable schedule and learning progress by your own life environment. After finishing the courses of 4 stages of “Chinese Family Natural Language Learning Method”, you can basically master spoken Chinese, keep improving and gradually improve your Chinese without your awareness.

Process

1. Familiar with the main content of each scene

Read the PDF documents of the course carefully and watch scene animations repeatedly. Because the dialogues are arranged by double languages, you can get to know main content of each scene and must memorize it.
You need to close your eyes to imagine the scenes in the course, put yourself into them and select a right role. When the initial screen of a scene appears or starting sound of a lesson is heard, you can know the main content and proceed to next step.

2. Listen and persist on until all the content is completely “heard”

Listen to mp3 files 8-10 times a day. Do this 6 days a week without any break except one day for rest. In this day, do not contact any Chinese word. Persist on until all the contents are completely “heard”.
One day for break every week--------
Only with the reception of information without any break, the brain will fail to process the received information normally leading to poor learning efficiency with more time spent.
“Completely heard”---------------
“Completely heard” means “all is heard” but not “all is understood (comprehended)”. In other words, you can catch all the “sound” from your headphone. You need to get familiar with the pronunciation of each word. Though you don’t understand, but you can simulate the pronunciation. This is “completely heard”.
In all, this stage is the processing of getting familiar with Chinese pronunciation. In this stage, do not expect to have any other effect or turn to other methods, nor refer to any related teaching materials. That is to say in this stage do you expect anything except training your listening.

3. Imitate from “start to end” loudly

When you finish the course of “completely heard”, you can try to imitate the pronunciation of the teaching materials, sentence by sentence, “from the start to end” loudly (the learning functions included in the online FLASH animations are needed by this stage.). 30 minutes a day until they can be spoken out fluently with one day for break every week, in which you should stay away from Chinese.

4. Record your pronunciation and keep practicing

Record your pronunciation, in which you mustn’t read any text book. And then compare your pronunciation with the pronunciation in the teaching materials and correct your pronunciation. Repeat this process until your pronunciation is close to the teaching materials.

Keep doing this until you become fluent.

Being fluent means how well you can pronounce and the level you are able to speak fluently without reading teaching materials. The best way for self-testing is to record your speech and then have it played back. Maybe you feel the pronunciation is already perfect, but you will often find many mistakes from the records. The case is especially true for those who are still not skillful in pronunciation. Only by recording, can they realize these mistakes. Once defects are found, they should be improved by repeated practice. Then, you are advised to make another record for comparison and you will find your progress is remarkable.

Note: Every step shall be followed strictly and must be completed before proceeding to next step.
